Happy Halloween!

今年も頑張りました。つわりでまったくやる気がなかったにもかかわらず、前日徹夜でコスチュームの準備。
今回は、ハリーポッターテーマ。
It came again. It was just hard for me to get on it because I've been really sick, but I had to do it so I strated a night before the party.
Our theme for this year is Harry Potter.

ん？一人足りない？
Well, count again. We're missing somebody???


まず、ハッピーがハリーポッター。
（HARRY HAPPY Potter)
おでこに書いた傷マーク、どうみてもうちの苗字の頭文字Nに見えるらしく、あんまりハリーポッターの映画を知らない人からは、なんでNって書いてんの？と聞かれる始末・・・。
Well, first of all, Happy was Harry Potter. HARRY HAPPY POTTER!
I thought the movie Harry Potter was very famous, but obviously not so much??? Some people didn't even know why he had a mark N on his forehead. N for Nitahara?


ランランが、ドラコマルフォイ。
髪をブロンドにしようと試しては見たもののもともと真黒な髪のランランやから、時間延ばしても茶色どまりでした。ちょっと残念がってたランランです。
Lanlan was Draco Malfoy. We tried! We tried to dye his hair blond, but not so easy because his hair is really black. I extended the time to leave the chemical on his hair longer but still just brown. Lanlan was a little dissapointed...

ブータンは、ディメンター。
ダディーに肩車してもらってます。これで、ほんまに飛んでるようにみえるでしょ。
ちょっと、太ったディメンターやけど・・・。
パーティーでは、このキャラが”一番創造力ある仮装”賞をゲット。
Boo was a dementor.
He's on Daddy's shoulders. He really looks like flying, doesn't he?
It looks a little overweighed, but they got the "Most creative costume"prize at the party. Yeah!

私は、プロフェッサートレローニー。
教会のハローウィンパティーでは、ほとんど（まったく）誰もこのキャラを知らんかったから、つまらんかったわ。
Here, I was Professor Trelawny. Nobody knew who it was at the party. Boring!

マルちゃんは、ヘドウィグ。
ハリーのペットのふくろう。
彼のコスチュームが唯一、わたしが手作りしました。ほかのは、ありあわせのものや安い衣装やさんで間に合わせたもの。
ヘドウィグのコスチュームは、かなり時間がかかった（前日徹夜やったってのもある）し、義母にも少し手伝ってもらったのに、いざ着せようと思うと、叫びまわってマルちゃんは着ようとしてくれへんかった。なんとか、キャンディーでつって来てもらうのに時間かかったわ。
Malu was Hedwig, Harry's pet owl.
and this is the only costume that I made. The other ones were just stuff happened in the house or got for cheap at some stores... and put them together kind....

Even though it took a WHILE to make the costumes (mother in low even helped me!), Malu REFUSED to wear it. He was screaming, crying, and throwing his tantrum! Oh, men. I ain't gonna waste my time and effort like this!!! So we decided to give him some sweet bribes. It worked!



楽しいんやけど、人数が多くなって大仕事になってきてる。来年はもっと早めに準備しはじめらなあかんと反省しております。
It was fun to dress up and trick-or treat, yet, I learned a lesson this time. I've better start early to get ready for this. The more kids we get, the more work (costumes) I get.....

私たちの結婚記念日は、６月１５日。
今年は、エイチ君はハワイに残り、私はもう日本にいたので、一緒に祝うことができませんでした。
Our anniversary was June 15.
This year, H and I were far away from each other on this day, we could not do anything together. (but we wrote letters to each other)


だから、私たちが日本から帰ってきてから、エイチ君のモロカイ島への出張をいいことに、わたしも夜の便でモロカイに行って、ふたりでモロカイ旅行でお祝いすることにしました。
anyway, after we came back to Hawaii, H got to go to Molokai for business on one Friday. I flew to Molokai Friday night to meet him there to celebrate our belated anniversary.

まずは、セスナからの眺め。めっちゃ最高です。緑の崖と滝。
モロカイ島ってなんもないよってみんな言っとったけど、この眺めを見ただけで、この旅行の価値ありやなとおもいました。
First, the view from the cesna was unbelievably beautiful. The view of cliff and the water falls! everybody told me that there is nothing in Molokai, but that view itself made my day. no I'm serious.

翌日どようびには、ミュール乗り。
私も知らんかってんけど、ミュールってロバと馬の合いの子やって。ガイドさんらがいうには、馬よりミュールのほうがいいらしい。

On Saturday, we went the mule ride.
Mule is half donky half horse. According to the guides, they were better than horse.
(in what sense? I forgot)



ツアーコースは、
とにかく階段をおりる、おりる、おりる。
ミュールに乗って、がけっぷちに作られた階段をずーっと降りる。
まじで、かなり怖い。ミュールが崖の端っこのほうに寄ったときにゃ、ふたりしてヒーヒー言ってた。
The tour course is...
going down the steps, steps, steps, steps...
going down the steps, down, down down down by the cliff that I saw from the airplane, for an hour.
H and I were freaking out every time our mules got so closed to the edge.
chickens!


でも、崖からの眺めも最高。言葉に表されへんぐらい。
but the view from the cliff is just........ just speechless.
I even saw dolphins jumping in the water from up there.




When we got the bottom of the cliff, a tour bus came to pick us up.
now the Demian tour has begun!
This place is called Kalaupapa which is a national park where lepars get treated.
So every single visitor has to register her/his name when enters into this town.

Visitors (even the worker's family) are not allowed to stay in Kalaupapa more than 13 days, besides national park workers, doctors, and nurses.

In the pic above, there is Father Demian's grave who dedicated his life to take care of people who suffered with hansen's disease (leprosy).


This is the only gas station in Kalaupapa.



It was a very memorable and interesting celebration for us.

The main thing that we enjoyed while we were in Japan was kids got to attend the elementary school and the kindergarten.
Lanlan was in the 1st grade, Boo and Hap went to the kindergarten near by Grandpa's house.
they were nervous, but they really really enjoyed going to school (kindergarten). They made some new friends, too!
Of course thier Japanese got improved. (Kids are so fast to pick up language!!!)


For the kindergarten, they (or I should say "I") were required to bring their home lunch. So here they are!!! I did it for the first time! Real Japanese Bento! I made Boo's and Hap's Bento (home lunch) almost every day! Thank goodness, I got saved by the frozen already made side dish...

Since Malu-chan and I were the only ones staying home, it was so nice that the kindergarten had open house and summer festival which family members were welcome.
I got to see how Boo and Hap were doing there.

I could not even come back when both of my grandparents past away (different time). So this time was the chance for us to visit thier graveyard.
My mom took us all and my sister-in-law (& her daughter) to Fukuoka where my grandparents were buried.


then, we got to see most of my cousins and thier kids!
12 kids at the buffet restaurant!!!! (and bout 10 adults) Crazy!!
but it was great to see them all.

日本にやってきました。
７月下旬までいます。
Ｄａｄｄｙは、７月の最後の１週間だけ、来てくれます。

日本にいる間に、沢山の友達に会えたらいいなあ。

うちの家は、道の行き止まりにあります。
マルちゃんのベビーシッターのところへ、（ほかの３人の息子たちと）車で迎えに行きました。

家のすぐ近くのある交差点で、一時停車して渡っていたら、すごい勢いでトラックが、一時停車もせずに私たちの車を通り過ぎていきました。

「なんて、無防備な運転や。左右も確認せず、一時停車もせんと、道路を渡るなんて。しかも、こんな狭い道で、猛スピード・・・。

と、一人でぼやきながら、マルちゃんを迎えに行きました。

ダディーも仕事が終わったというので、迎えに行って帰ってきたら、
うちのその行き止まりのところに、３台のポリスカーが・・・。

行き止まりのサインをぶっ壊して、土手を通り過ぎて、
あるトラックは、やぶの中にありました。
盗難防止かなんかのロックがかかってて、ブレーキがきかないまま、何百メートルもこのくだり道を暴走して、土手に落ちて止まったようです。

うわー、すげー・・・とちょっと人事やってんけど、
しばらくしてから、そのトラックは、さっき私の横を猛スピードで通り過ぎて行ったトラックやったことを思い出しました。

自分の車にあたらなくてよかったわあと、軽くほっとしていましたが、
考えれば考えるほど、私たちに危害がなかったことが、すごい祝福やったとおもいます。

あと数十秒遅くガレージから車を出していたら、もろ、激突。
もし、子供たちが宿題を早く終えて、道路で自転車で遊んでいたら、もろもろ、子供たちに激突。（なんせ、行き止まりやから、毎日のようにここで自転車に乗って遊んでるんです。）

今、無傷でいられることが、すごい祝福であることを考えられずにいられません。

Lanlanが、７歳！！！
いつも、計画がぎりぎりな私たちですが、
Lanlanのマブダチよんで、
誕生日パーティ！

風船お尻割ゲームから。
うちの子たち、割れる音にビビッて、
割ろうとしてくれへんかってんけど、
いっぺん割ってみると、結構楽しかったみたい・・・。


誕生日にはついてくるピニャタ。
どうせ、キャンディーなんか、食べさせへんのに、
入れるだけ入れてみる・・・。
割ってキャンディ拾うんが、たのしいねんな。な？


ハッピーの誕生日のときに買ったSlip'n'Slideを今日もやりました。
２度も、おんなじ活動なんて、と思ったけど、
子供たちにそんなことは関係ない。
曇り空でも、めちゃめちゃたのしんで、滑ってました。




すべりに飽きたら、お絵かきターイム！
絵を描くことが好きなLanlanに、３Dめがね付のチョークをプレゼント。
みんなで、道路に、のびのびを絵を描いてもらいました。


描いた絵を、付属のめがねで見ると、浮き出て見えるんや〜。


マルちゃんも負けずに・・・。

ダディーの体を、黄色でぬってみましたぁ・・・。

ダディーが、寝そべってできたからだの輪郭です。

ランランは、長男で、私たち親としてつらく当たってしまうこともあって、悪いなあと思うねん。
それでも、しっかり頑張って“お兄ちゃん”してくれているランランは、私とエイチにとって宝物です。もう７年も一緒に、私たちを支えてくれました。

ランラン、お誕生日、ほんまにおめでとう！！！

さてさて、このわにの箱は、いったい何でしょううううう？


ぜんそくの子たちが吸う、ネブライザーが入ってます。


ハッピーとマルちゃんが、風邪ひいて咳がひどなってきたから、
「おくすりでももらいに」と軽い気持ちでお医者さんに行ったら、
帰りはこんなものを買って帰ることになりもうした・・・。



そ、ハッピッピとマルちゃんは、喘息って言われたんです。

マイナーな喘息らしいけど、
毎日、３回（マルちゃんは４回）これをすわなあかんのよお。




マルちゃんは、まだ小さいからなあ。４〜５分のネブライザーを集中してやってくれるわけないねん。
遊びながら、絵本読みながら、ごまかしごまかし吸わせてみてます。

ハッピッピーの４歳のお誕生日も、無事、迎えられ、祝われました〜。
金曜日には、お誕生日恒例の、“学校のお友達へのプレゼント”。
今年は、みんなに
ハッピーフェイスのカップケーキ
にしました。


６０個も作るから、怠け者の私は簡単に・・・。
でも、いっぱい愛こもってるよお。

　　　　　

お誕生日本日（土曜日）は、
ちょっと遅めのお昼ご飯時に、仲のいいMac家といとこたちを呼んで、パーティー。

このごろは、風が強くて肌寒かってんけど、
プレゼントとして買ったSlip'n'Slideという水遊びのシートの上をびしょびしょになりながら、すべって遊びました。
（とうとう、カメラが壊れてしまって、うまく写真がとれなかったのよ。ごめんね。しばらくこれからの写真もピンボケやと思います。）

ざ〜〜む〜〜〜い〜〜〜〜、といいながら、めっちゃ楽しそうにすべってて、マルちゃんも参加したかったらしいから、海パンに着替えさせたら、水が冷たいことがわかり、べそかいてました。

そしてそして、夜には、
子供たちの誕生日には必ず、グランミーとグランピーが連れて行ってくれるRuby'sに、Mac家のこどもたちも一緒に行ってきました。


ここで、誕生日の歌をうたってもらって、
ろうそく立てたアイスクリームをもらわないと、
誕生日はおわられへんのよねえ。

この日、Mac家の子供たちにお泊りまでしてもらって、
寝る寸時までウキウキのバースデーを過ごせたハッピッピでございました。
